Deep Principle has released Hydrogen-1.0, an assistant model for scientific work. It is built on GLM-5.3 and published on Hugging Face.
Users talk to it in plain text. It answers science questions, walks through how a result is derived, and helps shape answers to open-ended research problems. The developer adds a caveat: every output should be weighed against the premises, limits and data that apply to the task at hand.
The GLM family comes from the Chinese company Zhipu AI, which operates internationally as Z.ai. In July 2025 Zhipu AI released GLM-4.5 with open weights, so Hydrogen-1.0 sits on a base that has moved up several version numbers since then.
