Free Gateway to 375 AI Providers With Auto-Fallback
OmniRoute is a free open-source gateway with one endpoint for 375 AI providers. When one provider's quota runs out, the request goes to another.
OmniRoute brings 375 AI providers and more than 1,400 models behind a single endpoint, including Kimi, Claude, GPT, Gemini, GLM, DeepSeek and MiniMax. The project is free and open source under the MIT license. More than 150 of the listed providers offer free tiers.
The main idea is to stop juggling dozens of services. A program connects to the gateway once, and the gateway decides where to send each request. If one provider’s free quota runs out, the request goes to another. Coding assistants such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Copilot can be pointed at it.
The developers estimate the combined free allowance across different providers at roughly 1.62 billion tokens a month. A token is a unit of text, roughly a word or part of one. This is the authors’ calculation, not a grant from the project: each provider requires its own account and sets its own limits and terms. According to the authors, built-in request compression saves 15 to 95% of tokens.
The repository was created on February 13, 2026. In under nine months it has collected more than 84,000 stars and 12,600 forks, with more than 900 contributors working on the code. The project’s motto is “Never stop coding”: the idea is that work doesn’t halt because a quota ran out or a service was switched off.
